Every day or two the device just refuses to respond to Home Assistant commands. So as of now, I’m still finding reliability to be pretty iffy, and super curious if you (and others) experience this too. How did you make use of transitions with the custom component? This should be configurable from the options UI flow in the integration. The scheduling done on device doesn’t require a connection once configured which I think is ideal since the transitions will execute without a connection to the home assistant host. The transition functionality in the custom component relies on “streaming” volume levels to the device.I’ve been working on integrating the scheduling features the SNOOZ mobile app uses for transitioning volume levels. The goal is to reduce the need for boilerplate automations related to scheduling. While you’re here: are you able to share your use case and what would be most useful for you? I plan to add turn_on and turn_off this week which might make it in one of the minor releases this month. This is a temporary thing - we excluded them to reduce the amount of code to review for the first pull request. The core integration didn’t get any services to start out (like snooz.turn_on or snooz.turn_off). If anyone can help me figure this out, my baby girl will thank you! Make sure your device is within range and in pairing mode.” then provides the instructions for how to enter pairing mode. I click Add Integration from Configuration>Integrations and type Snooz and the integration comes up (it didn’t before adding it to HACS).Ī screen pops up immediately that says “Aborted” “No SNOOZ devices discovered. I held the power button down until the lights flash. I unplugged the SNOOZ for 10 seconds and plugged it back in. I made sure the SNOOZ was removed from the app on my phone and my Bluetooth was off. I added the custom repository GitHub - AustinBrunkhorst/snooz: Home Assistant component to control SNOOZ white noise sound machine (category: Integration) from HACS. ![]() ![]() I’ve gotten to what seems like the last step but cannot pair with the SNOOZ. Now I am stuck trying to get the SNOOZ to work. Hey everyone, I’m just diving into HA for the first time and really wanted our SNOOZ to work off a flic. Now I’m happy I can pull one more piece into Home Assistant! Thanks a ton! I considered using a smart plug to simply power cycle the snooz but that wasn’t a great solution, and it only worked to turn the snooz OFF, not on. Overall, great work! Until I discovered your component, I couldn’t figure out a good way to tie the snooz into our morning alarm. This may be an inherent BTLE limitation, I don’t know, but it’s probably worth mentioning in the readme. While HA is paired with the snooz, the snooz app (at least on Android) cannot communicate with or detect the snooz. The snooz only has 10 speed settings and all are currently accessible, but you may want to note this limitation or potentially adjust the fan speed ranges that correspond to the snooz settings. While the snooz is on, setting the fan speed to anything less than 10 resulted in no change. If the snooz is unplugged and HA is restarted, HA will not re-pair the snooz when it is plugged in again - a HA restart is required. This may be obvious, but the snooz has to be within range and plugged in (not necessarily on) when HA is restarted. Thanks for the lightning quick fixes! Now I just need to move my HA box closer to our master bedroom…Ī couple last notes that didn’t warrant a Github issue: This is a limitation with the SNOOZ device supporting only 1 simultaneous connection. The wood for the outer casing is then cut into various shapes and sizes using a selection of hand and power tools. Usually, the wood is purchased in advance and aged two years before artisans begin work on it. Cuckoo clock bases can be made with walnut or pine, but the clocks overall are primarily made from linden wood, a soft wood that is easy to carve and grows in Europe. Prime wood is the critical material in crafting these clocks. How a cuckoo clock works, the materials needed and manufacturing process. ![]() In fact, for a long time, natives of the Black Forest region appeared to be the gatekeepers of how to build cuckoo clocks. This region is also famous for its lush forestry, forming the foundation on which many cuckoo clocks are made. TheĬuckoo clock’s history and development have spanned many generations, but how a cuckoo clock is made is still considered one of the most intricate and detailed processes in modern clockmaking.Ĭuckoo clocks originate from the Black Forest region in Germany, seen by many as the clock-and-watchmaking capital of the world. From its unique carvings to its famous “cuckoo” sound, the cuckoo clock is as much decorative as it is functional. And so Fellowship endures: a miracle of storytelling, a feat of filmmaking and still the gold standard for cinematic experiences. The cuckoo clock is a timeless symbol of fine artistry. Its ultimate heroes aren't the strongest, or those with the best one-liners, but the ones who just keep going. This oddball suicide squad has so much warmth and wit, they're not just believable as friends of each other - they've come to feel like they're our pals too.An ornately detailed masterwork with a huge, pulsing heart, it's just the right film for our times - full of craft, conviction and a belief that trudging forward, step by step, in dark days is the bravest act of all. But Fellowship remains the most perfect of the three, matching every genius action beat with a soul-stirring emotional one, as its Middle-earth-traversing gang swells in size in the first act, then dwindles in the third. The Return Of The King boasts the most batshit, operatic spectacle. As Fellowship thrums to its conclusion, finally applying the brakes with a last swell of Howard Shore's heavenly score, you're left feeling euphoric, bereft and hopeful, all at the same time. Onwards his adventure hustles, to the bravura dungeoneering of Khazad-dum, to the sinisterly serene glades of Lothlorien, to the final requiem for flawed Boromir amidst autumnal leaves. Even at the halfway point, as the characters take a breather to bicker in Rivendell, you already feel sated, like you've experienced more thrills, more suspense, more jollity and ethereal beauty than a regular film could possibly muster up. The Fellowship Of The Ring contains so much movie. But here it is, brighter and more resplendent than ever. It might have taken 20 years for Peter Jackson's plucky fantasy to clamber, Mount-Doom-style, to the very pinnacle of our greatest-movies pantheon. Jeanne d'Arc, also known as the Maiden of Orleans and Ruler, is a major character in the Japanese science fantasy franchise Fate. Jeanne was born as the daughter of two peasants in the small French rural village Domrémy. ![]() When she was a teenager, Jeanne claimed to have received a command from God Himself to fight for the improvement of mankind. In response to this request, Jeanne threw away her life as a simple peasant to fight in God's name. She resolved to fight despite knowing she would be ostracized by the masses for discarding contemporary Catholic beliefs and fighting as a woman in man's world. ![]() Despite being a modest village girl, Jeanne didn't hesitate to jump into the heat of the Hundred Years War with her sword and flag. She captured the hearts of many, including the Knight Gilles de Rais, who became her closest companion. After recapturing the city of Orleans, Jeanne and Gilles were both heralded as national treasures by King Charles VII of France. Eventually, Jeanne was put to death for heresy by her enemies. The crowds of people gathered at her execution hurled words of damnation at Jeanne, although she didn't mind their cruel words. As she burned to death, Jeanne expressed no regrets in her actions, believing all was part of God's plan. The death of Jeanne drove Gilles mad he eventually began murdering children in an attempt to prove that God had abandoned humanity. Eventually, the Catholic church canonized Jeanne as Saint Joan of Arc. After her death, Jeanne became a Heroic Spirit immortalized by the Throne of Heroes. ![]() Subsequently, a specter of Jeanne could now be summoned as a warrior servant by a mage through a special ritual. She is voiced by Maaya Sakamoto in the Japanese version of the anime and by Erika Harlacher in the English version, the latter of which also voices Elizabeth Liones in Seven Deadly Sins, Shinobu Kocho in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Violet Evergarden in the show of the same name, and Kurapika in Hunter x Hunter. ![]() Jeanne d'Arc is a cameo flashback character in the 2006-2007 light novel series Fate/Zero (as well as its 2010-2017 manga & 2011-2012 anime television series adaptations of the same name), the deuteragonist of the 2012-2014 light novel series Fate/Apocrypha (as well as its 2016 manga & 2017 anime television series adaptations of the same name), and a playable character in the 2015 turn-based tactical role-playing mobile game Fate/Grand Order. ![]() Median urinary iodine concentrations of 100–199 mcg/L in children and adults, 150–249 mcg/L in pregnant women and >100 mcg/L in lactating women indicate iodine intakes are adequate. ![]() ![]() The iodine-replete healthy adult has about 15–20 mg of iodine, 70%–80% of which is contained in the thyroid. When iodide enters the circulation, the thyroid gland concentrates it in appropriate amounts for thyroid hormone synthesis and most of the remaining amount is excreted in the urine. Iodate is reduced in the gastrointestinal tract and absorbed as iodide. Iodide is quickly and almost completely absorbed in the stomach and duodenum. Iodine rarely occurs as the element, but rather as a salt for this reason, it is referred to as iodide and not iodine. Iodine in food and iodized salt is present in several chemical forms including sodium and potassium salts, inorganic iodine (I2), iodate, and iodide, the reduced form of iodine. Salt iodization programs, which many countries have implemented, have dramatically reduced the prevalence of iodine deficiency worldwide. In some regions of the world, iodine-deficient soils are common, increasing the risk of iodine deficiency among people who consume foods primarily from those areas. The earth’s soils contain varying amounts of iodine, which in turn affects the iodine content of crops. For example, it appears to play a role in immune response and might have a beneficial effect on mammary dysplasia and fibrocystic breast disease. Iodine may have other physiological functions in the body as well. In the absence of sufficient iodine, TSH levels remain elevated, leading to goiter, an enlargement of the thyroid gland that reflects the body’s attempt to trap more iodine from the circulation and produce thyroid hormones. TSH secretion increases thyroidal uptake of iodine and stimulates the synthesis and release of T3 and T4. It is secreted by the pituitary gland to control thyroid hormone production and secretion, thereby protecting the body from hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. Thyroid function is primarily regulated by thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), also known as thyrotropin. They are also required for proper skeletal and central nervous system development in fetuses and infants. Thyroid hormones regulate many important biochemical reactions, including protein synthesis and enzymatic activity, and are critical determinants of metabolic activity. Iodine is an essential component of the thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). Iodine is a trace element that is naturally present in some foods, is added to some types of salt, and is available as a dietary supplement. For a general overview of Iodine, see our consumer fact sheet on Iodine. This is a fact sheet intended for health professionals. ![]() This is amongst the items I have kept around for sometime and now sending on its way. The V12, by the way, is a water ride through a Ferrari engine. Then we decided to check out the V12 ride. ![]() This was fun, though it was hard to distinguish who had won and lost. ![]() In any case, we get our timed ticket for the Scudeira Challenge - a racing arcade where you race simulated Ferraris around a circuit against each other. However, it was very clean and the staff were quite friendly and helpful. I think the staff probably outnumbered the guests. Ferrari World, by comparison, had very very few people. Now when we go to these parks there's always still people around the place - you do have to queue for a few minutes but it's not as annoying as in the height of the season. So we can get round them easier and barely have to queue for anything. We regularly visit the theme parks in Florida. The small rural towns in zombie movies have more life than this place. We were offered a discount on the tickets. We've paid the money to get there so we may as well. After much soul-searching, gnashing of teeth and generally cursing modern technology (believe me, Skynet is real!) we eventually decide to go into the park anyway. Apparently they're to get fixed "hopefully next week". The G-force, a shooty-uppy ride through the middle of The World's Largest Ferrari Logo (tm) was also closed. If anybody heard us, we're sorry and we aim not to do it again. Several words followed which shouldn't be repeated in polite conversation. But there's rides to be ridden! Enough of the surroundings! We must make haste into the park and to the Formula Rossa, bow down to its sheer terror in speed form and have our eyeballs plunged into their sockets by the G-forces! Ride closed. And it's got an awful lot of empty car parking spaces and a shopping centre outside that is completely deserted, at least at the time we went. It's the biggest indoor theme park yet created. Yes, it does sport the largest Ferrari logo in the world, if you're into that sort of thing. Ferrari World, from the outside, is a very imposing building. Lo and behold, we arrive at Ferrari World for the opening at 12pm. I think it came to something like 160 dirhams which is reasonable for the distance involved. (please note that any deity of any kind was probably not involved in the design process) Staying in Dubai, we got the metro to the Dubai Marina and got a taxi. Well, we aimed to one-up it (well, a fair bit more than one-up it) here at Ferrari World, God's gift to theme parks and Ferrari lovers. (please note that the neck snapping is not confirmed) We'd just been to Australia where we had hoped to ride what we think is the world's oldest operational coaster at Luna Park Melbourne. The most brandest spankingest newest theme park on the planet with the fastest, thrilliest roller coaster you can think of that launches you at 150mph, so fast that you need safety goggles and your neck probably snaps. And we had greatly anticipated our visit to Ferrari World. See classic road and race cars in the Galleria Ferrari, and learn about the famous drivers and designers. We like our roller coasters, we do. Little ones can participate in the Junior Grand Prix driving school where they can get behind the wheel of a scaled down racing car. At Formula Rossa, feel the adrenaline rush of being catapulted from 0-62mph in 2 seconds. Experience a host of exhibitions and experiences dedicated to the famous motoring marque.
